ATTENTION ALL AREA RESIDENTS: 2026 RECYCLING PERMITS ARE AVAILABLE THE TOWN TRANSFER STATION AND AT THE TOWN CLERK’S OFFICE FOR PURCHASE. Tickets are available for purchase at either the Transfer Station or Town Clerk's Office.

Transfer Station facility is open:
WEDNESDAY 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. and SATURDAY 8:00 a.m. to NOON. Each family RESIDENCE or BUSINESS is required to obtain an annual permit which expires on 12/31 each year. 2026 permit stickers are GREEN, and should be placed in the lower corner of the windshield on the passenger side of the vehicle. The prices for permits are:

$45 for Mt. Morris residents/owners, (Proof of residency may be needed when appropriate)

$55 for Non-Residents

$40 for Mt. Morris Senior Citizens aged 65+, ( Proof of age may be needed when appropriate)

$10 for a one-day permit
REFUSE ACCEPTED: Bagged household garbage is accepted with the purchase of appropriate tickets. Tickets for bagged trash are $4.00 each and are required as follows:

Kitchen bags 10-20 gallons 1 ticket

Large leaf bags up to 49 gallons 3 tickets

Trash can bags up to 39 gallons 2 tickets

Commercial bags 50+ gallons 4 tickets
BULK ITEMS can be taken to the facility on a ticket basis. Tickets cost $5 each and are for disposal of 1 cubic foot of material. TICKET AMOUNTS FOR WHITE GOODS, APPLIANCES & COMMON BULK ITEMS:

ALL ELECTRONICS ACCEPTED
Cardboard: clean and dry corrugated and paperboard accepted. NO PIZZA BOXES OR ANY CARDBOARD CONTAMINATED BY FOOD.

Glass Jars & Bottles, clear and colored: remove caps, clean

Metal cans, aluminum: clean and flattened

PLASTICS, ANY & ALL #1 - 7: (not just “pourable” containers) remove caps, clean and FLATTEN.
Glass, plastic & metals do NOT need to be sorted, but DO NEED to be clean and FLATTENED WHEN POSSIBLE.
We do not accept Styrofoam of any kind
